Data Cleaning

Also known as List Cleaning and Data Scrubbing. This is the process in which a list is reviewed for errors. Any errors found will be corrected or removed. Data Scrubbing involves several different services rolled up into one. For example, deduping and Address Validation.

Errors found could be duplicate entries in names and addresses, like "A Plaisted Campton NH" and "Andrew Plaisted Campton NH". Another error could be incorrect zip codes for a given address, for instance a user could have typoed the zip code on entry or it could be a particular zip code was changed or lacked the +4 for a 9 digit zip... This would be a natural part of the Address Validation service.
